What’s Your Why?

Good morning Reader, how are you today?

I spent this past week preparing to open our 2025 grass-fed beef offerings, and it got me thinking about why we choose to add healthy habits into our lives. What’s our true motivation? So often, I hear voices saying, 'Once you achieve your health goal [XYZ], then you’ll finally be happy.' But is that really the message we want guiding us?

As redeemed, dearly loved children of God, our worth is already 100% secure—rooted not in physical achievements, but in God's love and the redemption we have through Jesus. This truth frees us to be happy right now, just as we are. And yet, isn’t it funny how hard that can be to truly accept?

When you rest in the assurance of God’s love, you are free to make choices that truly align with your values and passions, bringing joy and purpose to your life. Instead of striving for validation or meeting societal expectations, you can focus on what really matters: nurturing relationships, taking care of your health so you can feel good and have energy, engaging in meaningful work, and enjoying God’s creation with a heart full of gratitude.

When I rest in God’s love and provision, even the simplest things become sources of joy and gratitude. Hannah S., who purchased a beef share from us last year, captured this perfectly:

"I really like how your approach has been so natural. Just proving that basic food is beautiful, nutritious, and delicious! God knew what he was doing from the beginning."

And YES! Our 2025 Beef Shares are open!

This year, I've made a few changes in an effort to be more transparent in our pricing & provide you options that work best for your family, whether you want to stock your freezer one time or enjoy a monthly supply.

In the coming days, I’ll be sending you:

  • Wednesday: A full breakdown of our Bulk Beef offerings, including a NEW Monthly CSA option.
  • Friday: A look at how buying from our farm supports regenerative agriculture and opens the door to our pastures for a personal tour.

Why Reserve So Early?
Our 2024 beef sold out quicker than I expected. Our next beef harvest starts in July 2025… yes, not until JULY. I get asked why we take deposits so early. The truth is—it is way too hard to organize orders that come in weeks before scheduled butcher dates. It takes months of planning to get everything lined up, not to mention how busy summer months get.

With limited stock available, reserving early ensures you’ll have high-quality, grass-fed beef ready when you need it, gives our farm the ability to plan ahead (and provides much-needed cash flow).
