Meet Our New Family Cow!

Hi Reader - Happy Monday!

I’m bursting with excitement to share some udderly amazing news with you. We brought home a NEW A2 Jersey dairy cow today!

As you know, Peggy, one of our sweet Brown Swiss, has been drying up, and with only one cow in milk, it's been a challenge to keep up with everyone’s demand, not to mention my kids' frustration when they hear I sold the milk they wanted to make yogurt with. To those who’ve heard me say, “I’m sorry, we’re sold out,” I heard you. Truly.

Last week, I came across the most beautiful Jersey cow on a national family milk cow page. Her exceptional condition & lovely udder immediately caught my attention. I was delighted when I discovered she was only 16 miles down the road from us. And here’s where it gets even better—the family selling her recognized our farm as the home of their great-grandparents! What a small world, right? They were happy to see the property being cared for and home to dairy cows again.

When I went to meet this dear Jersey, I couldn’t help but fall in love. A Jersey cow has the sweetest face you’ll ever see, and she is no exception. I just know you’ll adore her too. She’s the answer to making sure we have enough creamy, delicious milk to go around.

Now, here’s where I need your help: What should we name her? Send me your best name suggestion by this Friday, and if yours is chosen, you’ll win your choice of a gallon of milk or a pack of our delicious beef sticks! (tip, I am a sucker for old-fashioned names and anything dairy-related).

This verse comes to mind as I welcome this beautiful new addition to our farm:
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." —Philippians 4:19
God’s provision is so evident in the little and big ways He works, isn’t it?
