Thank You Doesn’t Feel Big Enough

Because of this community, our beef shares are now spoken for this season — wow.

I am overwhelmed by the love shown to our family and our farm. Thank you. I truly cannot say it enough.

We head into this growing season knowing our main expenses can be paid, our animals are cared for, and our family can keep doing this work we love. That peace of mind is no small thing.

Selling stretches me. I believe deeply in what we're building and stand behind our beef — but pressing "send" on sales emails always takes courage. So thank you for receiving them with such kindness last week.

This weekend Benj and I stepped away briefly for our ag lender's annual conference. The keynote speaker was Terry Bradshaw — four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback and longtime NFL broadcaster, now 77 years young.

He spoke about failure, family, loving people well, and faith. He shared ranching mishaps with cattle and how, after he was established and able to afford it, he raised pigs to donate to food shelves and called the program "Pigs for Jesus." He really knew how to keep the crowd on their toes! And then unexpectedly, he stepped into the audience to greet people — and I found myself giving him a big hug.

Two people from very different worlds. And yet not so different at all.

It reminded me how small and big this world is at the same time — and how much joy can be found when you truly see the people around you.

That's what this farm is about for me.

Yes, we raise beef. But more than that, we feed families nourishing food. We build friendships and we walk alongside one another.

Thank you for trusting us with your family's food. Thank you for returning year after year. Thank you to those who were new and took a leap.

Because of you, we farm with peace and purpose through another wonder-filled year.

With a full heart, Leah
