I’m So Glad to Have Found You, Too

Hi Reader,

I can hardly believe it — we’ve got one sweet month left of summer vacation. I wore a flannel to the barn this morning to keep the chill off, the monarchs are floating through the pasture, and the days are slowly shortening. The shift is subtle, but it’s here — and this Minnesota girl looking forward to fall.

Our family has been working steadily on finishing our new farm store, and I’m so optimistic that by the end of August, we’ll be welcoming you into a fresh space — complete with a new milk fridge and deep freezer to make your visits smoother and your milk extra cold and refreshing.

Last week, one of our amazing CSA customers came out to the farm for the first time. She graciously let me drag her and her husband around the place — chickens, pigs, sheep, dairy cows, llama, the works. As she was getting ready to leave, she turned to me and said, “I’m so glad to have found you!”

That made me so happy, because it’s exactly how I feel. About her. About you.
About this unpredictable and beautiful life we get to share.

Every time you make the drive out here — whether you’re minutes away or braving a trip from the metro or kato — I am humbled: you chose to come all this way. You chose us. And that faith in our little farm… it means everything.

Our beef cattle have been thriving all summer on lush, diverse pastures, and we’ll begin bringing them to the butcher later this month. To our beef share customers, your nutrient-dense, flavorful beef will be ready soon. Watch for a private message with pickup details in the coming weeks.

As I look at our almost-finished farm store — simple from the outside, but built on hours of labor, prayer, and community — I honestly feel overwhelmed with gratitude. My husband, kids, in-laws, neighbors, and you, Reader, — our incredible supporters — all helped make this dream possible.

Pinch me. I love this life. I love sharing it with you. And I love what we’re building, together.

With a full heart,
Leah
